Health and Yoga

   From very starting our Indian culture and tradition is rich in medical as well as vedic science, astronomy etc. Out of which one of the most important and vast branch is Yoga. According to our beliefs, yoga is the way to connect soul with the all mighty. Meaning procedure of connecting aatma with paramaatma. Along with physical exercises yoga includes meditation also. 


First of all we will talk about physical yoga and aasanas. Following are some asanas and postures of yoga:

  • Tadaasana 
Posture: In this aasan, we have to stand on our toes and stretch our body in the upward direction.

Benefits: Helps in increasing height, reduce belly and thigh fat, helps in maintaining good back posture.


  • Varkasana (Tree Pose)
Posture: In this aasan we have to stand on one feet and put the other feet on the thigh of the first feet.

Benefits: Increases strength of legs, concentration (ekagrata) and calmness, remedies flat feet


  • Pavanmuktasana (child pose)
Posture: Lie on the back then place knees on the chest and hold the pose with hands.

Benefits: Strength backbone, helps in relieving gas in the body, reduce belly fat


  • Bhujangasana (cobra pose)
Posture: For this pose, lie on the stomach then place your plams on the floor and then stretch the upper body in the upward direction

Benefits: Relieve in back, neck and shoulder pain, strength respiratory system, helps in relieving asthama


  • Vajrasana 
Posture: Sit on knees then fold feet and sit on the feet.

Benefits: Aids stomach disorders, keep mind calm and meditative, increase blood circulation


  • Chakrasana (wheel pose)
Posture: Stand straight then slowly bend backwards and place your palms on the floor.

Benefits: Increase lung capacity, strengthen arms, shoulders an wrist and increase flexibility of backbone


  • Shavasana (corpse pose)
Posture: Lie straight on the back and relax the body. This pose is mostly done at the end of exercise or yoga

Benefits: Increase mental health and awareness, lowers high blood pressure, reduces insomnia (sleeping sickness).
