Now a days, all are facing several types of diseases either communicable or non communicable. Almost everyone is dealing with diseases and health problems. Thus Today we are going to talk about diseases, and learn types of diseases, how they are spread, and how to prevent ourselves from them.
Diseases
Disease is a disorder of functioning of body of humans, plants, and animals, that show specific symptoms, affect specific part of body, and results in weakening of the body. We says that if you want to be healthy then eat healthy food, clean water and breathe in fresh air, but now these basic necessities are the most polluted. Thus, everyone is at risk of getting disease. In this case, the only thing we can do is prevent ourselves.
Types of Diseases
- On the basis of spreading
1.Communicable Diseases
Communicable diseases are those diseases which spread from person to person or through any other vector. Such as cough, cold, etc.
2. Non Communicable Diseases
Non Communicable Diseases are those diseases which are not spread from person to person or through any vector. They occur in body due to malfunctioning of the body. Such as diabetes, cancer etc.
- On the basis of cause
Diseases where microbes are the immediate cause are called infectious disease. For example, fungal infections due to growth of microbes on the body, cold due to presence of rhino virus in the body, etc.
2. Non infectious disease
Disease which are caused due to internal dysfunctioning of the body and no external cause are called Non infectious disease. For example, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, etc.
- On the basis of time period
These diseases last for short term, not life threatening and not leave any effect on the body. For example, viral fever.
2. Chronic disease
These diseases last for long term, can be fatal and may leave permanent effect on the body. For example, cancer.
Spread of communicable diseases
As the name tells, these diseases are communicable thus it need medium to enter the body. And these mediums are known as vectors. This vector can be air, water, food, and insects.

Prevention
- Drink clean and hygienic water
- Eat fresh, clean and hygienic food
- Avoid sexual contacts with multiple partners
- Adapt habit of safe sex
