The word 'cardio' refers to something related to heart and 'vascular' refers to vessels. Thus, cardiovascular diseases refers to diseases which are related to heart and vessels.
As we all know that heart of a healthy person beats 70-72 times per minute. But when the heart starts beating or pumping blood faster or lower tha the normal speed the conditions is known as High Blood Pressure (systolic) and Low Blood Pressure (diastolic) respectively. Blood Pressure refers to the force of circulating blood in the vessels. Blood Pressure which is considered as to be normal is between 80 and 120. According to a report, about 3 million of people in India dies every year due to heart attack.
- What is Heart Attack?
Let us understand it with an example, we knows oil floats due to its less density. Similarly, when we eat a lot of oil this increases the concentration of cholesterol in the blood. And due to excess, oil starts collecting in the blood vessels. When the concentration of oil in the blood vessels is increased it blocks the arteries and veins.
- Prevention from the Heart Attack
- Lesser intake of oil
- Do not do over exercise : when we do exercise our respiration becomes faster than normal due to which heart starts pumping blood faster. Due to which risk of bursting of veins or heart failure increases.
- Avoid excessive use of alcohol and smoking
- Taking too much antidepressants and any medicine
- Common Heart Diseases
- Heart Arrhythmias ( abnormal heart beats)
- Cardiomyopathy (diseased heart muscles)
- Heart Infection
- Valvular Heart Disease
- Symptoms
