As everybody know this is the time of winters. And in winters almost everybody is facing different types of hair problems such as rough and frizzy hair, dandruff, dry hair etc. But with weather our diet, routine, pollution, genetic mutations also affects health of our hairs.
Hair is made up of a tough protein called Keratin. Hair consists 95% keratin. When hair starts growing, it isi pushed up by the roots due to which each hair is attached with the skin. But once a hair is grown and the hair we see is dead. This means hair contains dead cells. Also, hair contains cellular material and are used to diagnose DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid).

1. Genetic
Health of hair is also affected by genes. As we saw, children have same texture, shape of hair as their parents have.
2. Diet
Diet directly affects the health of our body, from tip to toe. Thus, for healthy it is must for one to take a healthy diet.
3. Weather
Weather mainly affects the texture of our hair like in winter, we suffer from dry, rough and frizzy hair and in summer and rainy season due to humidity our hair become flat and oily.
4. Pollution
Pollution affects the health of hair very badly. It mainly causes the hair loss and split ends.
5. Excessive use of medicines
This is the main reason of hair loss or hair fall.
6. Use of heating and chemical products

- Hair loss
- Rough and frizzy hair

- Dull and dry hair
- Easily breakable
- Dandruff (may be just due to dry weather)
- Increase the quantity of protein in diet as hair is mainly made up of protein. Main sources of protein are meat, fish, eggs, beans etc.
- Take multivitamin, minerals or zinc supplement to avoid hairfall. Main source of vitamins and minerals are vegetables, fruits etc.
- Avoid heating and chemical products such as dyes, straightening and curling machines.
- Try to use a single type of product and avoid changing of shampoo and conditioner
- Avoid fast massaging on scalp
- Don't take medicines without reason.
