Now a days, science and technology is increasing rapidly and everything is becoming paperless, cashless and without lines. The same is happening in the field of healthcare, everything is becoming easy and digital. And offcourse, from banking to shopping is digital now then why not healthcare? So, today we are going to talk about digital health.
What is Digital Health?
Digital Health or Digital Healthcare refers to the platforms which helps us in easy monitoring of our body. We all know that, daily health checkups in hospitals, dispensary etc., is almost impossible because we all are absorbed with our works and do not have plenty of time to spend in lines of hospitals and these checkups in laboratories and privately are too costly to afford, atleast for the middle class. Thus, digital healthcare or e-healthcare helps us in easy monitoring of some basic aspects of health measures.
Use of Digital Healthcare
Digital healthcare or e-healthcare is monitoring of health measures with the help of digital apps on mobiles, wearable gadgets, machines etc. Machines such as blood pressure machine for monitoring blood pressure, sugar level monitoring machine to monitor the concentration of blood sugar are directly connected to the body.
Digital apps or mobile apps can be installed by anyone on their smartphones, then you have to register on that platform and that software will start to monitor you. These apps are used only to monitor basic aspects such as number of steps, number of calories burnt etc. Also these apps are used as a reminder, if you are to busy and forget timings of lunch, dinner and unable to take enough water then you can set reminder of particular time interval so that, it will be able to remind you.
Some digital healthcare are also wearable gadgets. Now a days, smart watches are in a great trend, these watches are used for calls, listening music even for monitoring body also. People use such gadgets while jogging, exercise etc., to monitor blood pressure, number of calories burnt, running speed etc.
Why Digital Healthcare?
As we have discussed above, everyone is absorbed with their work and the main thing we have lack of is time. So, you can also own digital healthcare machines as now they are accessible, economically feasible and handy too.
By using such technologies patients will be able to self monitor and self manage their conditions through regular monitoring and tracking symptoms.
Everybody knows "prevention is better than cure", if one is able to self monitor himself then he can become able to prevent himself before he needs to go through treatment.
